What we collect
Account: your name, email address and a password (stored hashed). If a leader invited you, they entered your name and email.
People records: what leaders write about the people in their care: name, phone, email, notes, prayer requests, care history, family links, group membership, attendance and giving records. This is the organisation's data, entered by its leaders and members.
Messages: direct and group messages inside your organisation, and reactions to them.
Blocks: if you block someone, we keep a record of that block so the server can enforce it.
Photos: a profile photo if you add one; clips you record in Studio stay on your device unless you share them yourself.
Contacts (optional): if you choose Import contacts, the app reads names, phone numbers, emails and photos from your phone. They stay on your device. A contact's name, phone, email and photo are sent to the organisation only when you add that person yourself.
Calendar (optional): meetings you book can be added to your phone calendar. We do not read your calendar.
What we do not do
No advertising, no tracking, no analytics, no selling or sharing of personal data with data brokers.
No crash reporter and no push notification token. Reminders are local notifications set on your phone, and they never pass through our servers.
No payment processing and no card details. Giving in the app shows your organisation's bank details for a transfer you make from your own bank. Giving records a leader imports or enters are listed under People records above.
No reading of your contacts or calendar without your explicit choice in the app.
Prayer requests marked private go to the pastor only.
Who can see what
Personas is built on a trust line. A leader sees the people in their own care; the pastor or owner sees the whole organisation; a member sees announcements, the live sermon, the Bible, prayer, groups and giving, and can message leadership. Organisations are separate from each other. Rules are enforced on the server, not only in the app.
Where it is kept
Data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL) in Sydney, Australia (AWS region ap-southeast-2), over encrypted connections.
Your choices
Delete your account in the app: Settings, then Delete my account. Your login, prayer requests, private notes, tasks, calendar entries, blocks, invitations and join requests are removed. Messages you sent stay in their conversations without your name, and care notes other leaders wrote stay with the organisation without your name or contact details; email us to have those notes removed as well. Remove imported contacts from the device in the Import contacts screen.
Block someone from the flag in a conversation's header. Blocked people cannot message each other directly.
Report a person from the same flag (in a group, choose Report someone and pick the person), or a prayer request or announcement from its Report control. A report opens an email to us with a reference to what you reported.
Ask for a copy of your data, or a correction, by email.
Children
Personas is for adults running and belonging to organisations. Records about minors are entered by leaders under their organisation's own responsibilities.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app tells you before the change applies.
